How to Save Data Usage on Your iOS Device with Qoolline eSIM

How Can I Save Data Usage on My iOS Device?

When using your Qoolline eSIM, it’s essential to optimize your data usage, especially if you’re traveling abroad. Apple devices with iOS 13 and later offer several features, such as Low Data Mode, that can help you save on cellular and Wi-Fi data. Additionally, disabling unnecessary features like Wi-Fi Assist and iCloud Backup will further minimize data consumption.

Enabling Low Data Mode on iOS

Low Data Mode helps you save cellular data by reducing background activity and can be enabled for both cellular and Wi-Fi connections independently. Follow the steps below to enable this feature:

1. Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).

2. Tap your active SIM (select the Qoolline eSIM if installed).

3. Tap Data Mode.

4. Enable Low Data Mode.

Note: Your carrier may have additional or specific Low Data Mode settings.

Disabling Wi-Fi Assist and iCloud Backup

By default, Wi-Fi Assist may keep your device connected to the internet using cellular data if Wi-Fi performance is poor. Additionally, iCloud Backup can use significant data in the background. Disabling both can prevent unwanted data usage.

1. Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).

2. Scroll down and disable Wi-Fi Assist.

3. Turn off iCloud Backup if you don’t need automatic cloud syncing over mobile data.

By following these steps, you can minimize data consumption on your iOS device while enjoying seamless connectivity with your Qoolline eSIM.
